SBN Storage & Automation Pvt. Ltd. is an industrial engineering company based in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Here's how we think about the work.
SBN was set up to close that gap: one engineering team that surveys the site, designs the layout, fabricates
the structure, and builds the automation that runs through it — so the racking, the access points and the
material flow are designed against the same set of numbers. That single-threaded continuity is not a marketing
slogan; it is a fundamental operational philosophy that eliminates the friction, miscommunication, and costly
rework that plague multi-vendor projects. In a typical warehouse build, you might hire a civil consultant for
the slab, a racking supplier for the storage medium, a separate automation integrator for the conveyors, and yet
another contractor for the dock equipment. Each works from their own drawings, their own assumptions about floor
flatness, their own interpretation of your throughput targets. When the pallet does not clear the transfer car
by 10 mm, or the shutter header conflicts with the conveyor overhead support, no one takes ownership—they point
at each other's tolerances.
We built SBN to be that single point of accountability from the very first site visit. Our engineering team
walks your floor with a single set of instruments and a unified data-capture protocol. We measure your existing
slab thickness, column grid, overhead obstructions, and utility penetrations once. We log your actual forklift
turning radii, your peak receiving hours, and your slowest-moving SKU categories. That raw dataset becomes the
sole source of truth for every subsequent decision: the racking beam heights, the dock-leveller pit dimensions,
the conveyor motor sizing, and the control-panel I/O counts all trace back to the same origin. There is no
"design by handoff" where critical details degrade between disciplines.
Every layout starts from load calculations and floor surveys, not a catalogue page. If the numbers don't work, the design changes before fabrication does.
Racking, shutters and structural components are built at our own works in Panki, Kanpur — so tolerances, finish and lead times stay in our control.
The team that surveys your site is accountable through design, fabrication, installation and the support call six months later.
It's a short list on purpose — each stage exists because skipping it has cost someone a rework before.
Floor load, column spacing, dock positions and traffic patterns are measured on-site before any layout is drawn.
Racking, shutter and automation drawings are sized to your SKU mix, throughput and floor load — reviewed with you before fabrication starts.
Structural components are welded and finished at our Panki works, under the same drawing set used for installation.
Our own crews install and align on-site, sequenced to keep the facility operating with minimal downtime.
Scheduled checks, spares and adjustments as load patterns or SKU mix change over time.
Every racking system is specified to a calculated load, not a rounded-up assumption.
Drawings made from a floor plan alone miss the column, drain, or beam that changes everything.
The team on your commissioning day is reachable on your support call, too.
